Log In Date BABY!!!

For all my peeps out there wondering what's going on in our adoption, we are anxiously awaiting our Logged In Date (LID).  The LID is China's official acknowledgment that we are actually going to invade their country and bring our kids home.  It's like our ticket in line, and outside of gotcha day it's probably the biggest milestone in the journey.

I should say we were waiting on our LID.  I got a call about an hour ago from our agency informing me that our LID was 6/28/2012.  Which is just beyond cool!  All along I've been hoping our log in date would be 6/28/12, because that's Eli's birthday, but when the day came and went I thought well, train gone (deaf idiom meaning you missed out).  But it wasn't!  And to make it even sweeter, we spent that day taking a bunch of deaf, hard of hearing, and CODA kids to the zoo.  God is too awesome!!!
E and Daddy on LID, unawares.

Next step - Letter Seeking Confirmation (LSC).  The LSC is the official referral from China approving us to adopt specific children - Rosalee and Trey.

Our agency tells us we can expect to travel 5 to 9 months after our LID BUT it could be sooner than that.

Please pray for travel this year, not only because we want to get them home asap but also because there is a $25,000 tax credit that potentially goes away on 12/31/12.  So we gots to get there!!

When I told Eli we finally got "our ticket" he screamed, ran up the stairs and back down, grabbed my hands and said "let's go now Mom!".  In the follow up email our caseworker sent, she said "I hope you have a grand celebration".  Daddy is in Honduras spending time with some precious deaf kids this week.  Can't think of a better way to celebrate!
Nannie, Eli, and Papa celebrating our "ticket".
