Timeline and Talks

Found this great timeline on China Adoption Online.  The picture was so much clearer than the verbal timeline Mom and I read seven times and then gave up on.  

Anyway last night we obtained our I-800 approval.  Yay!  As you can see, only a few more steps till China or bust.

This morning as E and I were dreaming in his bed he said "let's talk Mom".  Here was our conversation, as well as some others from the past few days.  Guess his sweet four year old brain is working overtime trying to figure everything out.

E:       Let's talk about Trey and Rosalee!

Mom:  Ok

E:       Where will they sleep?

Mom:  [Explains the sleeping arrangements again.]

E:       What if they get in my bed?

Mom:   That will be ok, won't it?

E:        [Thinking] No.  But if they do, I'll just put them in their own bed.

E:        Will Trey and Rosalee break my toys?

Mom:   Um...maybe

E:        No I don't want them to!

Mom:   Well they might.

E:        Will in be on accident or purpose?

Mom:   Maybe both.

E:        If it's purpose will you punish them?

Mom:   I don't think so...[explains grace and orphanges and all that, or attempts to]

E:        Well I think you should punish them.

Mom:   [Laughing]  We'll just pray for wisdom buddy.

Mom:   Hey, Trey's birthday is next week!

E:        What presents will he get?

Mom:   Um probably none.  Remember what Mom told you about orphanges?

E:        Oh yeah [frowns]. I know, I'll give him my presents! Maybe Doom & Iron Man

Mom:   But those are some of your favorites.

E:        That's ok.  He'll like them, I think.

He's going to be such a good big brother!

E and his cousin, playing "babies".
