A little over a year ago...
God: I am able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than you ever thought possible.
Me: I don't believe you.
God: I am.
The day after he said this, in my Jesus Today devotional:
Me: What about all the times we thought you would come through and you didn't. What was that all about??
God: You needed hope. So I gave you glimpses, shadows of what was to come.
My Jesus Today reading the next day:

My Jesus Today reading the next day:
So fear no more, Jacob, dear servant. Don’t despair, Israel. Look up! I’ll save you out of faraway places, I’ll bring your children back from exile. Jacob will come back and find life good, safe and secure. I’ll be with you. I’ll save you. Jeremiah 30
God can do anything, you know — far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations! Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes! Ephesians 3:20-21
Here’s what will happen. While you’re out among the nations where God has dispersed you and the blessings and curses come in just the way I have set them before you, and you and your children take them seriously and come back to God, your God, and obey him with your whole heart and soul according to everything that I command you today, God, your God, will restore everything you lost; he’ll have compassion on you; he’ll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered. My next Jesus Today:
No matter how far away you end up, God, your God, will get you out of there and bring you back to the land your ancestors once possessed. It will be yours again. Deuteronomy 30
Oh, that will be a day! A day for rebuilding your city, a day for stretching your arms, spreading your wings! All your dispersed and scattered people will come back, old friends and family from faraway places, From Assyria in the east to Egypt in the west, from across the seas and out of the mountains. Micah 7
This is God’s Word on the subject: “As soon as Babylon’s seventy years are up and not a day before, I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. Jeremiah 29
Heard this song awhile ago. It meant something different then.
But i know how much you care
and no matter where you lead me
your already there
Jesus all I've known is this simple home
there is no doubt in me that its time to go
but im waiting here till you show me what i should do
Jesus im resting in you!

Interesting info about Josh Garrels, and his escape/rebirth/safe harbor here.
The day I chose to trust (then un-chose the day after). But it's good to have a touchstone.
The day after the night I decided, very decidely, to not only not trust you, but to call you something you are not (unfaithful).
Walk out of the gates. Get going! Get the road ready for the people. Build the highway. Get at it! Clear the debris, hoist high a flag, a signal to all peoples! Yes! God has broadcast to all the world: “Tell daughter Zion, ‘Look! Your Savior comes, Ready to do what he said he’d do, prepared to complete what he promised.'" Isaiah 62
