Progress Finally!!

Here are the things that have happened to our homestudy caseworker since we began the adoption process. I am not making this up. He is not making this up.

· Got the plain old flu the night before our fourth and final homestudy visit. Had to re-schedule.

· Wife attacked by dogs the day before our re-scheduled final homestudy visit.

· Developed bizarre rash on areas that would preclude sitting/driving the morning before our re-re-scheduled final homestudy visit. Gave way too much information about said rash.

· Victim of senseless cattle truck disaster (is there any other kind of cattle truck disaster?). After driving 6 hours to get to our house was forced to turn around and go back home due to the proliferation of dead cows on I-40. Had to re-re-re-schedule final homestudy visit. Again no one is making anything up.

· Computer hard drive destroyed with no backup in place. Started homestudy all over again. When it was almost finished.

· Traci nearly cries. I said nearly. I think we’ve discussed my lack of emotion. But I did freak out and get really, really, really mad. Begs husband to take over negotiations. He does and of course TCB (for all you non-Memphians that’s “takes care of business.)
