So everyone in Guangzhou looks fabulous. Everyone. This place must be China's version of LA (but my cousin Louisa would know for sure). The big exception to the fabulous are all the adoptive parents
schlepping around in tracksuits and goodwill clothes.
I’m sure it has something to do with the
hotel we’re staying at*, but every time I get off the elevators I’m
amazed. Today I saw a Chinese lady who
looked like she walked straight out of Vogue. Yesterday was a “lucky day” according to the
lunar calendar so there were lots of weddings.
Chip thought it was quite embarrassing that I took pictures but I
couldn’t help it, they were so pretty.
Don’t you think?
*The hotel we’re at is probably the nicest place I will
ever stay in my life. I have no idea how
this is possible, because our rates are super cheap but I guess since all
adoptive parents come through this city the agencies are able to negotiate a great
price.
