E cried and said he would miss us but I told him Nannie would have a treasure bag for him to hunt for every day we're gone (thanks Mandy for that idea). Such a bittersweet time. He's four but it seems like he's fourteen. I feel so strongly and sadly that I'm leaving my baby and coming back to a little boy.
On this Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for my family, their love and support, and sweet E kisses. Looking forward to meeting Trey on my birthday and Rosalee a few days after that.
It's been an insane three week scramble getting ready for our "trip of a lifetime" as my brother said. I'm actually looking forward to the fourteen hour plane ride if for nothing other than a chance to rest. And now we're off to bed.
Goodnight stars, goodnight air. Goodnight noises everywhere.
