Noah-O

Been thinking about Noah a lot lately, probably because it’s one of Eli’s favorite stories.  David and Goliath have taken over the number one spot as of late, but Noah held it for quite awhile.  One of my favorite Noah books is "Noah's Ark", illustrated by Lisbeth Zwerger.  The art in it really gripped me, and I found things in the story that I had never seen before.  I think it’s awesome how God can use art, or words, or hands, or really anything to speak to us.  He is so un-limited.  Anyway, God commanded Noah to build the ark and fill it with every living creature, two of each kind.  But Noah didn’t go to Africa and start a marketing campaign to bring in the lions.  He just did exactly what God told him to do, plank by plank, and God brought the increase.  Streaming in actually.  Noah was faithful and so was God.  Lord, help me to remember that it’s my job to be faithful to an extreme degree, and your job to bring the increase.  And thank you that your yoke is easy and your burden is light.
